Deltona is in southwest Volusia County area and can be described as an "edge city" to the Orlando Metropolitan Area. The City of Deltona is about 30 minutes north of Downtown Orlando and adjacent to the Cities of Debary, Orange City, Lake Helen, and with close proximity to the City of Deland. The City of Deltona is the most populated city in Volusia County and provides a large residential base for commuters. Recreation and public/semi-public uses include golf courses, parks, schools, government buildings and conservation lands. While home prices continue to appreciate, residential housing is more affordable than metro Orlando and offer an urban lifestyle.
